Pete,
I do not think the screw 2″ from the rod guide has anything to do with the rod guide.

Pete,
The problem on the Jackson Exit Panic Device 1085/1285/2086 when the bottom rod is dragging is the Top Bolt Guide Assembly. It is a plastic piece with a metal slide that goes over the rod when in the open position, holding the bottom rod retracted. When the plastic piece breaks, the rod extends when in the open position, dragging on the floor. This can be found on our Website @ https://www.rbadoor.com/jackson-panic-device-top-bolt-guide-assembly-1085-1285-2086.html

The bottom rod is dragging. There is a screw on top of door about 2″ from Top Bolt Guide. ? does this screw have anything to do with the travel of the rods?
