Crossbar exit device lock down

One problem we find on many panic hardware (exit devices) with crossbars are stripped dog screws, or a housing that is wallowed out.  Instead of replacing the housing or lever  you can just use the Panic Bar Retainer (Quiet Doorman).   The Panic Bar Retainer holds the cross bar down so the exit device will stay open all day, and then you just flip it up when you are locking up for the day.  We stock them in an aluminum and gold finish.  They can be found at the bottom of this page.

Quiet Doorman

The quiet doorman will keep your panic hardware (exit device) open all day!

When we started this blog we thought we would have trouble coming up with blog posts. But every customer I talk to gives me another idea of something to post
